Colaborarte opens its doors to the creative process on Saturday February 4th in Esterillos Oeste.
A group of uniquely different local and transient artists will showcase their work in a variety of mediums under the Colaborarte Studio roof as we inaugurate the concept of our Rural International Residency.

Colaborarte abre sus puertas al proceso creativo el Sabado 4 de febrero en Esterillos Oeste.
Un grupo de artistas unicos y diferentes locales y transitorios exhibiran sus obras de diferentes medios bajo el techo del Estudio de Colaborarte mientras introducimos el concepto de nuestra Residencia Rural Internacional.

A CULMINATION ON THE HORIZON
Paint continues to spill, it’s dizzying scent overwhelming all mucous membranes into a flight of fancy that inherently fuels our work ethic. Scooping paint from the innards of a full bucket, we soak parched cinderblocks with a coat of white pigment, immediately illuminating the interior light levels into a brighter environment. With floors to paint and a collective Esterillos Oeste - Costa Rica group show on the fast approaching horizon we cull all sources of creative energy in attempts to make a good show on Jan 28th, 2012! Dogs visit and we traverse the floor in a non linear shuffle. To causes we concern and to the abyss of probability we dream.
(HD version coming next week) This is a short timelapse of our process within the art residency. At the moment we are fixing up the inside to accomodate more light and studio space.
From the streets - A documentation of the restoration of our local art residency. On this day we layed the first stage of a wall mural. Next we will fill in the detail.

COLABORARTE STREET SIGN
Drizzle upon the days we had in store, skies dark and wet Pacific clouds sprinkled doom over our efforts to paint. Finally we had a break within it all and were able to set up for our sign - mural. Passerby’s offered gestures of inquiry, helping us spread the word, and within a few hours we put down the first coat with details to be filled in this week.
